It was when Carrie call at home Samantha, Charlotte and Miranda in order to help her to put all her clothes in boxes before move. A classy set for the holiday gifts

Christmas time is just a few nights away and the run to the gifts is already started.

Desigual changes its way naming Jean-Paul Goude creative director

Desigual is the renowned Spanish brand that everybody loves for its playful and energetic attitude.

This year the wind of change has hitten the label that, surprising all the fashion system, has named Jean-Paul Goude as creative director. But this won’t be the only task of the histrionic Goude, he will take care of every perspective of Desigual, from productions creation to events and marketing activities.

Jean-Paul Goude is a French illustrator and director. He was also the artistic director of Esquire New York in the 70s and he was worked for several famous labels such as Perrier, Citroën, Kodak, Chanel and Shiseido.

The first collection signed by Jean-Paul Goude for the Spring/Summer 2018 was presented during New York Fashion Week .

The catwalk marked a big turning point for the Desigual, that is restylling its image, but the fans of the label were not disappointed about it has the pieces presented continued to mantain the features that makes Desigual famous around the globe… Unconventionality, genuineness and positivity!

As David Meire, operational director of Desigual, said “ The artistic collaboration with Jean-Paul Goude represents a step forward in Desigual’s will to allow talents of countless disciplines to contribute and enrich the diversity of the brand thanks to their amazing works”

My personal thoughts about the collection is that I see a more mature Desigual, a Desigual that is reaching another dimension. Inspired by the jungle, every print overlaps the other in an harmonious and carefree dance. Fluid and stratified shapes are amalgamated on raffia, cotton, leather and denim. The multicolor sneakers and the raffia anklet become a must to have for the next season.

I will definetely continue to follow Desigual and Jean-Paul Goude in their new successful path.

A Summer must have

I am not a Summer person.

Okay let me explain, I love the sun, the breeze and the color of the season but I don’t love so much the obsessive heat that sometimes Summer carries with it. I like better the chilling ending part of the season and those fresh Summer night where you can wrap yourself in a soft cozy blanket.

My experience at Hotel Manin during Milano Men Fashion Week

The last Milano Men Fashion Week was full of glamorous and beautiful collections.

I attended several shows and presentations and one of the biggest rush moment is the change of look. So is important to have a place to stay that allow you to change your clothes, refresh yourself or simply relax a little bit before going on.

I always recover myself and use it as a home the Hotel Manin , a 4 stars hotel located in the real centre of the city of Milan. Just a few steps away from the fashion district and with a breathless view over Giardini Indro Montanelli, Hotel Manin is the best place to stay both for business and for pleasure trips.

Is one of the city’s historic hotels and features 124 rooms, including 7 junior suites and 1 suite with jacuzzi on the terrace. Every room is equipped with air conditioning, satellite TV LCD and free Wi-Fi. There is also a gym with free access from 7:00AM until 11:00PM, four meeting rooms with various ceiling projectors and microphones and inside the hotel there are the Manin Garden, my favorite chilling place, and the Manin Restaurant with its regional, Italian and international cuisine.

The best room of the hotel, if I can recommend you one, is the Panoramic Suite & Pool which has a priceless view of the top floor of the Duomo and the Indro Montanelli Gardens. It is equipped with a large terrace with veranda including a small pool with whirlpool, heated in Winter.

From 1904, Hotel Manin is property of the Colombo family.

I will definetely come to this hotel every time I am in the city for my business and I can recommend it to you without any doubt. It’s luxury, with a staff who has the answers for all your need and it has a really strategic position.
