An intense and cosmopolitan collection, where fabrics and combinations create narrative landscapes where the sans-papier gentleman signed by Stella Jean wears fabrics that reproduce Buddhist frescoes and prints representing the Moorish architecture of the royal palaces of the Maharajas.

Chiudete gli occhi e immaginate… le strade del Rajasthan con un’atmosfera da West End of London, privato della sua arroganza e supponenza colonizzatrici. Via tutte le rigidità aprendosi all’ascolto e immergendo l’anima nella materna cultura indiana.
Una collezione intensa e cosmopolita, dove i tessuti e gli abbinamenti compongono paesaggi narrativi e dove il gentleman sans-papier firmato da Stella Jean si veste di stoffe che riproducono affreschi buddisti e stampe rappresentanti l’architettura moresca dei palazzi reali del maharaja.
L’ alta sartorialità italiana fa da padrona, caratterizzando il taglio rigoroso e il volume degli abiti che acquistano un sapore inedito grazie a emozionali accostamenti cromatici. I contrasti vengono accentuati dall’attaccamento alle grisaglie e ai manteaux del baule del nonno con un ritorno al principe di Galles, al Black Watch e ai tweed dal sapore British. Elementi provenienti da ogni parte del mondo si ritrovano a sfilare sulla passerella, come l’italiana camicia a righe lievemente slim, blazer dal taglio sartoriale, in stoffa wax o in tessuto canvas, realizzati a telaio a mano in Burkina Faso, mentre i pantaloni in stampa wax alla vita leggermente alta, tagliati alla caviglia e abbinati a bretelle lasciando intravedere le mille stampe colorate delle calze sono elementi ultra contemporanei.
La collezione di Stella Jean lascia piacevolmente impressionati per la bellezza oggettiva dei capi ma soprattutto per la “morale” e per “l’impegno sociale” che tramandano, raccontando la crescita dell’uomo, che si apre alla conoscenza e allo scambio culturale.
